Job Summary
As a Process Engineer, the resource will be responsible for managing the development of production processes (manual and/or automated), supporting the introduction of new products (mechanical components) in the most effective and efficient way, while ensuring excellent quality standards.
Main Responsabilities and Activities:
Process Analysis and Optimization: Implement and optimize mechanical manufacturing processes, particularly flow production processes, by developing appropriate Standard Operating Procedures. Collaborate with the Industrial Department to implement and refine process parameters to improve efficiency and product quality.
Cost Analysis: Assess investment requirements and support the design and implementation of machinery, equipment, and production systems in collaboration with the Industrial Department.
Problem Solving: Conduct structured root cause analyses of process failures and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, improve quality, and reduce downtime.
Collaboration with R&D: Work closely with the Research & Development team to understand technical specifications and product/process requirements. Define and estimate work cycles in alignment with targets shared with R&D.
Continuous Improvement: Enhance existing processes to improve customer service, efficiency, and product quality, while ensuring workplace safety and ergonomics. Support the implementation of key Lean tools (e.g., 5S, Visual Management, TPM, SMED).
Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields
Previous experience in similar roles (mechanical manufacturing), preferably in industrial environments with a strong focus on lean manufacturing
Good command of spoken and written English
Proficiency in main IT tools (Word, Excel, etc.) and 2D design software (e.g., AutoCAD)
Knowledge (even indirect) of CNC machine programming
Strong coordination and project management skills
Teamwork ability, problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills
Main relationships:
Internal: Production, R&D, Quality, Controlling, Planning, Purchasing
External: Component suppliers, equipment suppliers
