Role Summary:

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role ensures cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and supporting production continuity.

Work Location: Hybrid - Minimum 3 days a week in the office at Cartago, Costa Rica.

Your day-to-day might include:

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and services required for manufacturing.

• Issue and manage purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory levels.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

• Coordinate with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability.

• Track and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality problems with suppliers.

• Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP/MRP systems.

• Provide Support on NPI’s, Project transfers.

• Support cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and alternative sourcing strategies.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

• Assist in supplier audits, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

• Good understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement-related tools.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication in English to ensure a good ability to communicate throughout the business.

Nice to Have:

• Management of systems (preferably IFS or similar).

• Experience with international sourcing and supplier management.

• Knowledge of cost analysis and contract management.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
