The Technical Sales Specialist – is a customer-facing, technically focused role supporting the adoption and successful deployment of Videndum cinema products across Europe.
This position is less transactional and sales-driven than a traditional sales role, with a strong emphasis on technical expertise, application support, relationship building, and product education within the cinema ecosystem. While the role contributes to a regional sales quota and manages opportunities through the pipeline, success is measured primarily through technical influence, customer confidence, and long-term market development.
The role works closely with regional sales teams, product management, and engineering to ensure cinema customers and partners are fully supported from pre-sales consultation through to post-installation use.
This role is home based but requires significant travel around Europe to meet our customers and host/attend events/tradeshows/workshops. It is therefore important that candidates are able to travel frequently in Germany, which is a key market.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
Key tasks
-Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including:
-Rental Houses
-Owner Operators
-Production Companies
-Studios
-Act as a trusted technical advisor within the cinema community, developing long-term relationships based on product knowledge and application expertise.
Dealer & Partner Support
-Build strong working relationships with dealers, with particular focus on supporting dealers in complex or multi-brand opportunities by contributing cinema-specific technical expertise.
Technical & Application Support
-Provide project-level technical and application support
-Assist customers in identifying the most appropriate VCS solutions
-Undertake on-site “consultative” visits to support product evaluation, installation, and early use.
Opportunity Management & Commercial Support
-Manage and progress identified opportunities in collaboration with the regional sales team, ensuring technical alignment and customer confidence throughout the sales process.
-Support opportunity qualification, solution definition, and technical justification while working toward a team sales quota
-Maintain accurate opportunity records and activity tracking using company CRM tools.
Product Feedback & Market Intelligence
-Act as a voice of the cinema customer internally by providing structured feedback to Product Management and Design Engineering
-Gather and analyse industry news, market trends, competitor activity, and event insights, sharing relevant intelligence with the wider Videndum Cinema team.

-Regular, proactive engagement with cinema customers, rental partners, and dealers
-Technical support for live projects and installations
-Product demonstrations, training sessions, and application workshops
-Contribution to multi-brand tenders and complex project bids
-Participation in trade shows, industry events, and cinema-focused exhibitions
-Collaboration with internal sales, marketing, and product teams
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
-Strong technical understanding of cinema production, rental, or studio environments
-Proven experience supporting or selling technical solutions within the cine rental or production market
-Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
-Experience managing opportunities and contributing to sales targets in a collaborative sales environment
-Excellent relationship-building skills with customers, partners, and internal teams
-High attention to detail and structured working practices
Desirable
-Experience working within Dealer or Channel Partner
-Salesforce CRM experience
-Background in technical support, applications engineering, or solutions consulting
