Operations Manager
Role Summary
The role of the Operations Manager is to manage and direct the Health & Safety, Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Logistics and Distribution functions in VPI plant. The Operations Manager will direct all manufacturing/logistics departments’ functions to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer satisfaction. They will be exceptionally detail oriented and able to lead a team, serving as a liaison between upper management and the functions of the plant. They will have a strong focus towards customer service, being able to review and adapt operational planning in order to maximize service result. A key responsibility for this position will be Health & Safety, securing legal compliance and Videndum policy and governance in seeking best safety for employees. It will be a critical element of the Manager to lead and train the staff properly, implement proper operating procedures and processes with continuous improvement delivering Q, S, C and ESG targets. They will be a proactive role within Videndum Group seeking/supporting also possible synergies and actions to develop business solutions and improvements.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Essential:
Responsible for H&S governance, procedure, training and legal compliance to OSHA together with risk assessment and continuous improvement
Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
Develop and implement actions to create and improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Provide leadership to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Define Operations KPIs and monitor them to review and trigger corrective actions
Collaborate with other departments to collect and analyze data to improve in areas of waste and overtime
Investigate and implement innovative methods of manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve quality of the product
Plan, organize, and direct and optimize day-to-day operations to exceed VPI and our customers’ expectations
Ensure that all production line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, economic performance, and planning, expediting as needed
Direct and manage the establishment and maintenance of material replenishment methods, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of the organizational goals and objectives
Budget and manage manufacturing cost structures by developing and maintaining operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures
Create documentation protocols and ensure that all operations records are properly maintained and reviewed
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with VPI policies and all applicable state and federal laws.
Responsibilities for performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; providing both positive and corrective reinforcement; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements when needed.
Manage stakeholder communication.
Provide processes for monitoring performance and collaborating with teams to determine ways to improve.

Required Qualifications
Qualified experience in manufacturing and logistics operations, including production feeding of parts.
Excellent leadership skills.
Willing to do problem analysis and solving, seeking improvements on quality, productivity, service to customers.
Familiar with ERP systems, WMS, and IT tools (i.e. scanners).
Strong collaboration and teamworking skills.
Preferred experience from industrial productions or logistics structured platforms processes using tools such as Visio or similar.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit; manipulate objects, tools, and controls; walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl for long periods of time. May be required to lift up to 30lbs. and lift more than 30 lbs with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to focus, and the ability to distinguish colors.
