Role Summary:
To support the Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function in providing financial analysis and business support to the divisional departments and Senior Leadership Team across the business, with a key focus on monthly consolidation of Group financials across multiple entities.
You will ensure all required management information and reporting is provided in a timely and accurate manner whilst providing insight into key areas of business performance.
Work Location: Bury St Edmunds/Hybrid - 3 daysa week (after initial training period) in the office at Bury St. Edmunds.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Support the Head of FP&A in providing SLT management reports to agreed deadlines with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Prepare and manage the monthly consolidation of multiple legal entities globally.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Ensure accuracy of FX translations and group-level adjustments.
- Maintain and improve consolidation templates / models.
- Assist with group-level reporting packs, models and dashboards for the business.
- Support the year-end statutory audit with consolidation workings and support schedules.
- Ownership of month end activities and supporting Group reporting requirements. Prepare and upload month end transactions in line with all policies and procedures.
- Assist with global quarterly forecasts and annual budgets to agreed timetable. This will include meetings with internal stakeholders, data uploads and bridging variances.
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
- Analyse variances and provide commentary, including risks & opportunities, in a clear and timely fashion.
- Prepare ad-hoc information as requested.

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA) – or finalist with strong relevant experience
- Strong understanding of consolidation principles and intercompany accounting
- Solid knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups & sumifs
- Ability to use own initiative to address problems and present solutions
- Professional approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Effective communicator who works well in a team.
- Attention to detail with the ability to handle large datasets and provide insights into clear business narratives
- An understanding of own limitations with regards to safety of self and others.
Desirable:
- Exposure to FP&A, budgeting, or management reporting.
- System knowledge; ERP experience (IFS, Infor), Oracle/Business Objects, BI Tools
- Examples of reporting, presenting work or making improvements
Education and Qualifications:
- A-Levels
- GCSE English and Maths – Grade C or above.
Desirable:
- Degree in Business or Accountancy.
