What will I be doing?
You will be responsible for material movement associated with system transactions within or near production areas.
- A typical day might include the following
- Performing material handling and order processing activities.
- Replenishing material kits, assembly lines and workstations with parts.
- Organizing and maintaining the warehouse.
- Communicating with appropriate departments and supervisors regarding parts shortage, receiving discrepancies or delays, unsafe conditions, or other issues.
- Unloading and checking incoming shipments for accuracy and quality/quantity of part numbers.
- Kitting parts according to work order and assembly instructions.
- Shipping and Receiving incoming materials via ERP system and distributing accordingly.
- Staying abreast of production schedules and work orders.
- Filling requisitions, orders, requests, materials or other stock items in order of priority, due date, and material availability
- Distributing items to production workers, assembly line, warehouse, or repair in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Loading and unloading materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Pulling customer orders or returns and conveying orders to packing stations or shipping departments through use of a cart.
- Verifying that products picked match order.
- Counting and recording number of units of materials handled.
- Ensuring inventory is accurate.
Qualified candidates must have
- High school diploma or (GED)
- 2+ years of Warehouse or Inventory Control experience
- Ability to be a self-starter with sense of self-reliance and sense of urgency
- Must be able to demonstrate good math skills, basic computer skills (Excel, Word).
- Must be able to lift at most 70 lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the US
