Sales Director

Role Summary:
This role is responsible for developing and leading our team of sales people in Europe, who are responsible for growing Videndum's revenue through the acquisition of new strategic accounts and maximizing revenues with current customers. The incumbent will support the growth of sales regions in Europe by driving the team to find, develop and close opportunities in the marketplace, whilst supporting them with the systems, processes and training to enhance the customer experience.
The incumbent needs to develop relationships internally with teams that can support the sales process to grow Videndum's overall customer base. New account prospecting and customer account acquisition will be achieved through a consultative selling approach that provides customers with highly effective and innovative product solutions. This role combines sales leadership, product knowledge and operational skills to execute and exceed the agreed sales and profit targets for Videndum's business within the defined strategic accounts base.
The role has Sales Managers reporting to it who are based in 5 countries across Europe and it reports to the VP Strategic Sales who has responsibility for Sales in US, Europe and Middle East. The role is focussed on Sales within the 'Broadcast' part of our industry.
This is a home based role that requires significant travel through the region to support the Sales team and customers.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop, deliver, and direct the sales plan, aligned with product management, marketing and technical support for Videndum's portfolio of products and services.
- Manage the European sales team to drive business growth across all customer segments and share responsibility with the technical support team for improving strategy and customer experience.
- Lead and mentor the European sales teams to grow their abilities by providing guidance, advice, feedback, and support.
- Perform detailed evaluation of customer business environment, including customer needs, capabilities, and competitive realities to identify unique business opportunities.
- Drive new customer acquisition initiatives, working with technical support and product management, to improve customer acquisition and retention.
- Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important clients at a senior level.
- Assist the European sales team to create and deliver proposals to key stakeholders, influencers, and customers to position Videndum's value proposition.
- Engage in the consultative sell of Videndum's portfolio offering that contribute to the growth and profitability of the business.

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Proven track record in leading Sales teams in competitive markets
- Demonstrable focus on sales training and development to drive sales performance
- Results focus
- Excellent time management, territory management, organisation skills
- Manages forecasts and data capture within Salesforce CRM
- Proficient with MS Office tools
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrable sales knowledge and experience
Desirable:
- Sales leadership experience in the Broadcast, ProVideo, and film industry
- Knowledge/Relationships with existing Videndum customers in territory
- Understanding of existing Videndum Brands and Product lineup
