Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce & Digital Platforms Administrator who thrives under minimal supervision. If they have no web/digital experience, then we can look at upskilling elsewhere in the team, but the main focus will be on Salesforce. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, business-focused professional with a solid understanding of Salesforce and web/digital best practices. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar marketing automation platform (such as Eloqua) is highly desirable. As a key member of the IT team, this individual will play a vital role in driving user adoption of Salesforce within Videndum.
The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in defining and executing well-structured automated campaigns targeted at customers at various stages of their lifecycle. Exceptional communication and project management skills are essential, along with a strong drive to master the entire Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Knowledge Base, Sales Engagement, Inbox, Identity Connect, and additional tools like Conga, Simple Survey, Case Flags, and Case Merge. The role also involves identifying and recommending enhancements or new solutions to solve business problems.
Candidates must have proven experience in Salesforce solution design and development, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
Work Location: Hybrid - Minimum 3 days a week in the office at Bury St. Edmunds.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Oversee major Salesforce development projects, including technical builds and deployments from sandbox to production, utilizing a structured Change Control process managed through our Helpdesk system (Halo).
- Redesign existing Workflow Rules and Process Builders within our Salesforce instance into optimized Flows. Applicants must have prior experience in building and designing well-executed Flows in previous roles.
- Provide comprehensive support to Salesforce users across all departments, including Sales, Service, Finance, Marketing, Product Management, and the Leadership Team. Must be capable of effectively communicating with and supporting users at all levels across the global organization.
- Develop, coordinate, analyze, and optimize a variety of digital marketing activities, including but not limited to digital advertising and email campaigns.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure campaigns are accurately targeted to agreed customer segments, driving brand awareness across our portfolio. A strong understanding of Data Protection and GDPR principles is essential. The role also requires the ability to review and refine campaigns, utilizing strong copywriting skills to oversee final outputs and ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the digital campaign journey.
- A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and Java is highly advantageous for assisting in the creation of end-user and channel emails.
- Address broader email program initiatives, such as monitoring deliverability, maintaining templates, troubleshooting campaign issues, and optimizing interactive design elements.
- Annually, the role will include a set of SMART objectives, with the individual responsible for delivering them using optimal solutions and continuously improving on previous outcomes.
- Support the web team in integrations of the CMS with essential digital platforms, including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Work closely with the web team, marketing team, and third-party vendors to ensure integrations align with business objectives and digital marketing strategies.

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Must be – SFDC ADM201 Certified with 2+ years of working with Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud (or other Marketing Automation Platform).
- Must have Proven experience as an administrator working with Salesforce and Marketing Automation Platforms.
- Must have proven experience working with Salesforce Flows and be able to demonstrate examples of their previous work.
- Must have extensive Excel experience, cleaning and normalising data.
- Must have proven copy proofing experience which they can demonstrate.
- Experience with system integrations using tools like Mulesoft or similar, with a solid understanding of the importance of tool integration. Hands-on experience is not required, but a strong grasp of the underlying principles is essential.
- HTML coding experience desirable
- Proven track record in developing integrated automated email campaigns that drive customer retention and increase site usage.
- Demonstrable collaboration and project management skills; proven track record in driving innovation.
- Demonstrable experience with utilising Apps from the Salesforce Appstore to deliver business solutions.
- Proven experience and confidence in driving projects and initiatives across a complex organization.
- A strong sense of personal initiative, tenacity, and a proactive approach to change. Enthusiastic about the future and capable of challenging established ways of operating.
- Ability to articulate and champion email marketing best practices and standards.

Desirable:
- Candidate will ideally have both Classic and Lightning Salesforce Platform experience.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS & JS and/or the REST API is desirable.
- Industry experience in Broadcasting and Production Equipment is a major plus.
- A deep understanding of sales and marketing in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Ability to adapt personal style to suit situations and stakeholders including conflict management.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate problems logically, prioritize competing demands across diverse activities, and develop innovative yet practical solutions within limited resources and time constraints.
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Salesforce ADM201 Certification or higher
- Experience developing Sales and Service Cloud (Salesforce).
- GCSE English and Maths – Grade C or above.
Desirable:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification.
- Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (desirable).
- HTML, CSS, Java Certification (desirable)
